Madonna and Gandhi

Talking on Sirius Satellite Radio, Madonna proclaimed that she wants to be like Gandhi. Yes, she actually said that! Maybe she wants to take on the British Empire, what’s left of it. Maybe she wants to wear a loin cloth and go on a fast unto death, proclaiming that the British must stop sipping tea and start drinking Red Bull.

Britney Spears also seems to be toying with the Gandhi idea. She shaved her head. It’s a start. Next, she needs to adapt to a philosophy of non-violence and commence eating yogurt made out of goat’s milk.Spears also needs to lose a great deal of weight, give up sex and eat nuts for lunch. Her publicist states that Spears has already begun the “nuts for lunch” program.

On the same radio show Madonna said she wants to be like John Lennon. She wants to give peace a chance. Imagine. Gandhi and Lennon walking through strawberry fields, talking of marmalade skies, experiments with truth and transcendental meditation. Now, imagine Madonna entering the conversation. What would she say to Gandhi? What would Lennon say about her fake English accent?

Madonna also said that she wants to be like Dr Martin Luther King. Gandhi, Lennon and King. They were all assassinated. Where is Madonna going with this?  Why does Madonna not want to be like Madonna? She wants the characteristics of three great men. We tried getting reactions through a medium. Gandhi could not be reached he was asleep. John Lennon asked not to be disturbed, he was busy talking long distance to Paul McCartney’s ex- wife Heather Mills asking if she was going to take part in ‘Dancing With The Stars.’ Dr. Martin Luther King was on his way to Gandhi’s shack to tell him about Madonna. “I read the news today, oh boy…”

Meanwhile Madonna who lives in London was busy trying to decipher British slang. An upstart in London had called her “A Bloody Daft Cow.” In America, we don’t know what that really means.
