Where Is Roe’s Daughter?
In 2003, President Bush signed a law that sought to ban partial birth abortions. Of course, the pro-choice crowd went wild, there was little chance they said, the law would see the light of day. Now the Supreme Court has upheld the law by a 5-4 ruling. Partial Birth Abortion is now illegal in the United States.
According to medical experts, this is what happens.
“Partial birth abortion” is a medical procedure that doctors call ‘Intact Dilation and Extraction.’ In this procedure termed ‘D&X’, the cervix is dilated, the body of the fetus except the head is dismembered with forceps and extracted from the uterus, the skull is then punctured and brain tissue is removed through suction. The skull collapses and the dead dismembered fetus is removed through the birth canal. This procedure is performed in the second trimester of pregnancy, the 20th and 24th weeks. In some cases, it is also performed during the third trimester.
The Supreme Court ruled that the procedure could be used only if a woman’s life was in danger. The grey area here is what happens if her heath is at risk? That sets up a slew of new arguments.
Norma Leah McCorvey, best know as Jane Roe has converted to Roman Catholicism. She has long since retracted her story of being raped. She has stated that the two attorneys Sarah Weddington and Linda Coffee used her as “a pawn”. After all that fuss, McCorvey did not have an abortion. She gave birth to a baby girl. The child was put up for adoption. Today she is pro-life.
In 2005, she petitioned the Supreme Court to overturn Roe v Wade, arguing that the case should be heard again in light of evidence that the procedure may harm women, the petition was denied.
McCormick, a “reformed lesbian,” is the mother of three girls. The eldest is Melissa.
And where is her second daughter, the one that McCormick wanted aborted in 1969? The child that started the whole abortion debate in America. Today, the girl must be around 37- years- old. It would be interesting to hear this woman’s views on abortion. The agency that handled the adoption must know where the girl is. She can be traced. Does Norma McCormick want to see this daughter? Does this daughter know that her mother is the historical Jane Roe? A debate between mother and daughter on abortion would be interesting. When the poster girl for abortion believes that it is morally wrong to have an abortion, does that change anything? What about euthanasia? Where do we stop? Who draws the line, an individual or good old Uncle Sam?

My God, why would any woman want to have a partial birth abortion. What a horrible procedure. I can understand, if a woman is dying, then something like this is a must, but otherwise it is a savage, cruel way to end a life. I am glad that the Supreme Court has done something about this.

Abortion is the religion of the Godless. Where there is no God, things like this will happen , again and again and again. I mean, if a woman has God in her life she would never do this unless, of course if her llife were in danger. But, there are many factors that go into this. The break down of the institution of marriage. The breakdown of THE FAMILY in America. The urban isolation of so many people but it comes back to God. I don’t care what religion you follow. If you believe in a God then abortion is wrong. It is that simple. A woman’s right to choose is a very nice sound bite, but how about the unborn baby who has no choice. We as Americans do not like others making choices for us. What about the baby? If the child was allowed to speak, if the child could speak, what do you think the child would say. “Kill me mother, I stand by the wisdom of your choice.” Do you think a child would say that? I have heard of women who have had abortions who did not want their figures spoilt. That is what we have become. Lord help us, because it seems that we cannot help ourselves. We are a godless society where the dollar bill is greater than anything.
People today laugh at the institution of marriage, it is old fashioned they say, does not work in today’s society they say. Well, we are seeing the fruits of all those misguided convictions. Look around you, tell me what you see. What has become of us as people, as human beings. I mean there are thousands of women out there who are actually fighting for partial birth abortion. Is this their choice, murder!

You know, there are countries, like Ireland that have had the courage to ban abortion. It is a barbaric practice. Unless a woman’s life is in danger, abortion should be banned. There is no sense in this. If a woman does not want a baby give it up for adoption. I mean adoption is better than killing the baby. Is there anybody out there who disagrees with this. If you do, you must be really, really sick. Get help.

Leave Roe’s daughter out of all this. She is living her life somewhere in peace. Don’t get her involved in all this madness. Yes it will make prime time news, big time. The fat cats of some major network will make a killing with their ratings war and they will tear her to shreds. Leave her alone.

A woman’s right to choose is one of the fundamental rights that we cherish in this country. It is very easy to look at abortion and scream murder. There are many people who are against abortion but believe in the death penalty.
Today, after the Supreme Court came down with their ruling against partial birth abortion there is a danger here of Roe V Wade being overturned in the near future. And that will be a fundamental disaster.
Let’s look at partial birth abortion. If the mother’s life is in danger, if she could die carrying the baby to full term and delivering the child, then the Supreme Court says that partial birth abortion is legal. Now what happens if the woman’s health is at risk but the chances of her dying are not great. What happens then? A doctor who consents to perform a partial birth abortion here can be arrested and charged. See, it is a slippery slope. There are no easy answers.
I believe that a woman who feels she wants to terminate her pregnancy should have the right to choose. To simply ask “why?” will not do her choice justice. An early termination is safe and simple and I don’t believe that it is murder. The debate, “When does life actually start” is still on. Look at it this way. A teenage girl gets pregnant. She cannot afford to have the child. Her whole future is at stake here. She needs an education, she still has to go out there into the real world. Her parents and relatives cannot, for whatever reasons take care of a baby. Let’s say she has the child and gives it up for adoption. All her life she will be haunted by the fact that her child is out there. That the child will never really know her, that the child belongs to someone else. Psychologically this will harm her for the rest of her life. What should she do? I would say have an abortion and get on with the rest of her life.
Sure, like any freedom of choice that we have, it is going to be abused. Guns, liquor, pornography, you name it there are abuses going on. And again, many of the people who are against abortion have no problem with going on a hunt and killing a deer. That is OK with them. You can argue that abortion is about human beings and hunting is about animals. But for me killing is killing. Period. Supporters of the death penalty have as much blood on their hands as a system that let’s them get away with it. And many of these people are against abortion. Don’t you see a contradiction here?
Eventually, they are going to take away a woman’s right to choose or at least they are going to try. Supporters of the death penalty call women who have abortions murderers. Is that a fair and balanced view. Unfortunately, today, that is the way things go. We are becoming a nation of politically correct drones controlled by a system that is pushing our buttons. We are all sitting back, wondering what the Supreme Court is going to strike down next. And that is the problem. We are all sitting back. It is time to stand up. The time has come when we should not be afraid to talk about issues that main stream media and slick politicians call politically incorrect. The media want their ratings, the politicians want their vote banks. Has it occurred to anyone recently that “WE” are the people. What about what we want? We as women, want the right to choose.

Hey, Miss or Mrs Hayes, you and your crowd are not all of “WE” the people. There are other people besides you people. Get it. There are other people who think that abortion is murder and you have to respect their opinions. Not all women agree with you.
The death penalty and it’s supporters that you so passionately preach about have nothing whatsoever to do with those who are against abortions. The death penalty is for those who are found GUILTY of taking a life. An abortion is the killing of innocent life. There is a difference between innocence and guilt, you know that, don’t you?
Life begins when an egg is fertilized by a sperm cell. Mess with that and you are messing with life. God or religion has nothing to do with my argument. It is plain and simple biology. An abortion ends life. You can go ahead and have your abortions but don’t whitewash the facts. When a woman has an abortion she is killing the life growing inside her. So go ahead with your right to choose. Personally, I see no wisdom in your choices. There is no justification for taking a life. If you have some valid justifications, I’d like to hear them.

Fighting over abortion is not going to solve anything, especially the moral dilemma.
Live and let live. Respect the opinion of others. If someone wants to have an abortion, I don’t see why they cannot have it. They will have to answer to God and to themselves. So what is there to fight about?
By making abortion illegal, women are going to go to quacks in sleazy back rooms to have abortions done. And then, as a society we will have another major problem.
Stop fighting. Don’t we have enough of problems already?
We have our freedom. That in itself is a great thing. Be thankful. How we choose to use our freedom is the key to the door of our existence. Life is about choices. We live and die by the choices we make. So, if someone decides to have an abortion; they will have to live with that and die with that.
