What Happened To Equality?

The hair-brained heiress, Paris Hilton will now spend 23 days in jail starting June 5, instead of the formally stipulated 45 days. Why? Good behavior. This is a joke. Officials state that Hilton appeared for her last court date. That is good behavior!

Would Six Pack Sally or Joe Doe have got the same treatment? The answer is NO.

This is not about race, color, creed or philosophy. This is about MONEY. The rich are treated differently. What happened to THE LAW OF THE LAND? What happened to ‘Everyone Is Treated The Same In The Eyes Of The Law?’ Besides being short sighted, Dame Justice it seems has an unjustified affinity for the Almighty dollar.

Why are the politicians quiet on this one? Campaign contributions. That is the answer. The Hilton hotel chain has deep pockets. Criticize Paris, the reduced sentence, or the kid glove treatment, and the monetary flow will be quickly shut off. When money talks, even the powerful elect to withhold judgment and listen.

Hilton will now stay in a unit that contains 12 two-person cells that is reserved for police officers, public officials, celebrities and other high profile inmates. The chosen few get ‘Reserved Cells’ while the rest have to share space with the commoners. If this is what equality in a democracy has become someone had better re-write the law.

If you break the law, you break the law. You are no better than Joe Doe serving his time with everyone else. What makes a public official or celebrity who breaks the law different from Joe Doe?  Prison is about punishment, any which way you look at it. The prison system seeks to safeguard celebrities and public officials from other inmates. What about Joe Doe? Like everyone else in prison, his life too is in danger everyday. If you are a public official or celebrity and if you are found guilty by the systems set up in this land, you should do your time like everyone else in a place where the guilty go. Like the rest in jail, learn to survive. This is a jail sentence, not a holiday at the Hilton.

Paris will be serving time at the Century Regional Detention Center in suburban Lynwood, Los Angeles. You can bet your bottom dollar, that right now, ‘donations’ to appropriate people are flying out by the midnight mail service.

A quarter mile from the Los Angeles airport is a swanky Hilton Hotel. Why don’t they just book her into a suite there? They can call it a ‘Reserved Suite’ or Hotel Arrest’ and get this farce over and done with.

Well, my dears, of course you are going to be treated differently if you have money.Paris Hilton is a billionaire. Is she different from you and me? Of course. She is rich.
I would like to play Devil’s Advocate here.Even the law bends to the wind of money. Now what happens if she gets thrown in with the rest of the inmates. The fact is just because she is who she is, Paris is going to be a target. It will be a maor headache for the authorities to protect her. So they put her in a place where she will be safe. Prison is about punishment but this is Paris Hilton, some nut might try to kill her. Then the authorities will be slammed with a million law suits. Even if she is attacked in jail, the jail authorities will be sued. So I guess it is in everyone’s best interest that Paris is protected.
About the equality part. Let’s face it. Equality and freedom and everything in between looks good on paper. In real life, if you are rich and I mean Hilton rich you are going to get the window seat. Know what I mean. The rest of us can sit next to the toilet door and moan. I mean who really cares. But for the very rich, money is a game that they play everyday. Some like Paris are born with it. You and me cannot play that game. We do not have money, my dear. So let’s sit in the economy section and throw a few stones. I don’t live in a glass house. My poverty gives me the right to throw a few stones of frustration now and then. And if they put me in jail for that you know it won’t be where Paris Hilton is going to serve her sentence. Do I feel like a second class citizen? Yes. Am I poor. Yes. Do I want to be Paris Hilton and get that window seat. I don’t know.I like who I am. I don’t think Paris Hilton can say that of herself. I mean, who is Paris Hilton? Take away the money and you’ll find nothing but a wretched human being who has sold herself as a product party girl who likes to get high. I mean, people pay her to come to their parties. That is what she is all about. Here is a woman who has the world at her feet. She’s busy kicking it right now. Amazing. Will jail change Paris. Well, time will tell. And on a final note, if you want equality, get rich. I tried.Did not work. I am not bitter that I don’t have a lot of money.
Getting back to Paris, I think jail will do her good. I wonder what her mother’s stand on all this is.But if you think Hilton is a hot topic for the media right now, just you wait. When Paris gets out of jail the circus is going to start. She will throw a coming out of jail party that will be the hottest ticket in town. This story is not over. Love it or hate it. Paris Hilton in jail is an intriguing image. We want to know what she will be doing in jail. It’s called gossip. We are all guilty.

That is the way things are. We have racism something we will never be able to wipe out totally. This happens all over the world. Again, the rich are treated differently all over the world. Money is power. The poor and middle class will always be pawns to the moneyed class. The rich get rich by selling us their products. They are smart enough to do it. I give them credit for that. I mean what’s stopping me from doing what Bill Gates did. Let’s face it, I don’t have a Bill Gate’s brain. So Paris Hilton will go to jail and she will emerge with street credibility. If you think she is famous now, let her get out of jail. You aint’ seen nothing yet!

And so Paris Hilton got to go home after spending three days in the pokey. A medical condition, law enforcement officials state. Yea, the medical condition was money. Big money has passed hands for something like this to have happened. A financial promise has beeen made, a pledge if you will. The actual transaction of funds will take place later when things have died down. This is so glaring and transparent, it hurts my eyes.

Hilton was refusing to eat prison food. Oh! The poor baby. Stick a tube down her throat. People in other countries are right when they say you can buy the best legal aid in America. Sure, you can, Paris Hilton just did.She bought it all. Shame, shame , shame. The city of Los Angeles and all the officials involved should hang their heads in shame. I mean, this is so in your face, it is shocking. The Hilton family just purchased American Justice, used it to wipe their behinds and then flushed it down the toilet. With the whole world watching. Talk about the justice system losing credibility.Terrible.
So now she sits in her mansion at the top of the hill serving out her sentence. Will they afford the same treatement to the other inmates at that very same facility, if the inmates do not like the food and refuse to eat?

This loser Hilton, actually has fans? I mean what do they see in her? Is there any kind of substance in this woman?
What do her fans admire about her? Anyone out there who is a Paris Hilton fan please enlighten me. I really, would like to know. I am not trying to be snide.

This is not about Paris Hilton anymore, this is about the law of the land. If Paris Hilton is going to get away with this, the rich folk will get away with murder in the near future. Oh! pardon me, that has already happened.
Well, let’s see what happens next. Scooter Libby is going to get a pardon from President George Bush. What has happened to justice in America?

I am not a rich person, so I guess I am not entitled to ask any more questions. From now on, I shall hold my tongue. In the mean time, I will try to get rich so that I can be treated with equality. It seems to be the only way. The American way. And if I die before I get rich, scatter my poor ashes around the department of justice. Amen.

Well, Paris Hilton is back in jail and I hope that everyone is happy. She was dragged back to jail just because she is Paris Hilton. That is a fact. Rapist in this country have served less time than she is doing, drug pushers spend less time, but I don’t need to tell all you people that, you already know the facts. Paris Hilton became a hot brick for the sherif and judge. She became an ego issue. I am not one to sit here and say that Paris Hilton did not break the law and then flaunt it in the face of authority, but if we are talking of equality here, take a look at other cases that are similar and see what has happened there. She is rich, that is her privilege, people are just jealous of her life style and money. I have heard people complain that she does nothing, has no talent and is still so famous. What is bugging these people. If they do not want to see Paris Hilton on TV , change the channel. First, they want to partake of the gossip, then they bring her down because Paris Hilton does not measure up to their estimation of what a famous person’s credentials should be. Give me a break here. Suddenly, after they have had their fill of Paris Hilton they begin throwing stones at her. That is so messed up. She has rightfully inherited the billions of dollars that is the Hilton fortune. She does not need to explain her life style to all the gossip gobbers who swallow everything she puts out. If they are that disgusted with Paris Hilton, shut her out. The media feeds of her like a school of sharks and then they drag her down when they have had their fill of gore, guts and lurid stories.
Yes, I am a fan of Paris Hilton, simply because she is living her life the way she wants to. So, she made a few mistakes, don’t we all. Does she deserve what is happening to her right now? Of course, no. But she will endure and when she’s out, those who have been feeding off her had better watch out. You are going to see a new Paris, someone who is not the dumb blonde that she has portrayed all these years. This is a woman of substance who built herself and her name into a solid brand that sold in the commercial market place. How many people can do that? Advertising is a savvy, intelligent business and Paris Hilton sold herself as a great product that was both successful and respected. She used the media to sell herself without the media really recognizing it. That in itself is a feat. So recognize things for what they are instead of throwing mud at someone. And now the media feels like it is pay back time, a let’s go get Hilton time. She is on their networks everyday, if they think she is so worthless, why are they showing her? Because their viewers want to see her. Viewership means ratings. The net works need someone like Paris Hilton. It is something that they will never admit. Still they will savage her, tear her apart but let her put out feelers that she is interested in doing an interview, every major network, from CNN to FOX to CBS to ABC will be panthing after her like dogs in heat. And that is the truth. Wait till she gets out from jail, watch these animals run after her and then they have the audicity to say that she is a brainless dumb blonde who has no substance. Well sirs, networks of great substance why are you all running after Hilton? Ignore her! Can you all afford to do that? I don’t think so.In the end, Hilton is money in the bank for all you hot shots. She pulls in viewers, and that is the bottom line in your business! The media needs Paris Hilon, and Paris Hilton needs the media. So come on boys, don’t rock the boat. She will be out of jail soon. Your cameras and reporters are ready, ain’t they? Or may be you all have decided to leave her alone. She is a woman of no substance after all. Every major net work has said that. Let’s see what the major networks do once Paris Hilton is released. Bets anyone?
