Darkly Through The Dead

NOTICE TO THE LIVING
Recently. Bergman and Antonioni, two legendary filmmakers died. The rest have passed on too. See what they left behind, for you, for me, for the world. If you have never heard of these men or seen some of their films, you have been dead for a long, long time. There is still time though. Like Fassbinder once said, “Do Something In Order To Feel Alive.”
Here is the seven-fold path to celluloid nirvana.
Ernst Ingmar Bergman
Michelangelo Antonioni
Federico Fellini
Akira Kurosawa
Satyajit Ray
Francois Roland Truffant
Rainer Werner Fassbinder
The Living May Add To This List, If They Wish…
The Dead Can Spend Their Time watching ‘Tales From The Crypt.’

Woody Allen was not on the list. He should have been mentioned. Allen is a great film maker. In fact, Woody Allen must be heart broken now that Ingmar Bergman is no more. Allen considered Bergman, the greatest filmmaker of all time.
Of course you have Francis Ford Coppola and Steven Spielberg. I also think Clint Eastwood has made some great films.
Of course there have to be many other great film makers around the world. Unfortunately, I do not know who they are. But life is for learning. I’ll get there.
