Dead Man Talking
For a man who everybody thinks should be dead, Keith Richards is not doing so badly. Little Brown and Company is paying Rolling Stone Keith Richards, 7.3 million dollars for his memoirs. Apparently, there was a fierce bidding war for his remembrances. Every major publisher in the world was interested but Brown and Company finally clinched the deal. Writer James Fox, an old friend of Keith Richards, will write the memoirs. The question is, does Richards remember anything?
So now, Stones fans are waiting for the year 2010, when the memoir is set to be published. What will Keith Richards remember? What can he remember? How much will be fantasy? How much will be fact? How much fiction?
Lead Singer, Mick Jagger tried to write his memoirs years ago when he was offered a huge amount of money. However, Jagger got bored, said he could not remember much and eventually dropped the project.
Will Richards do the same? Will he live to tell? That, ladies and gentlemen, is the 7.3 million dollar question. Meanwhile “the human riff” is on yet another tour with The Stones. Yes, they are still rolling.
Till date, Richards has not confirmed or denied the 7.3 million dollar deal. But the Stone is up there with the heavies like Hillary Clinton who was paid $ 8 million by Publisher Simon & Schuster for her book, ‘Living History.’
If you have a title for the 7.3 million dollar book, we will E- mail it to the Official Website of Keith Richards.

I have never understood why anybody would want to see Keith Richards dead. For years now, people have been speculating on his life and death. Keith Richards, on the other hand, carries on with his life, falling out of coconut trees and making incredible music. People scoff at the Rolling Stones for being “Rockers With Walkers” but the Stones live tours are one of the highest grossing tours around. They are all past their sixties, love Rock n Roll and are doing a darn good job.
Keith Richards guitar playing is the role model for thousands of young aspiring guitar players.
Johnny Depp has publicly confessed that he copied Keith Richards’ drunken walk and personality for the character of Jack Sparrow in all those Pirate films which have been successful all over the world.
If Keith Richards dies, The Rolling Stones die. He is a great musician and composer, so let’s hope that he lives to be a hundred. For alll the drugs and alcohol that his body has absorbed over the years, it is a miracle that he is alive. He must have an angel watching over him.

All these people who are expecting Keith Richards to die….What is the thrill that they get out of this? He’s playing his music, getting high and living his life the way he wants to.
Through the years, nothing bad has ever been said about him. Like he is mean and on a superstar trip or whatever. I have talked to people who have come into contact with Richards, and they say he is a humble guy, spaced out, but cool. Now what is wrong with that? So he drinks and takes drugs and falls out of coconut trees. He is not doing anyone any harm, so leave him alone.
I cannot understand why people are not happy just to see him alive and still rocking. Will they all be happy if he died tomorrow. I will never understand people.
And if you think The Rolling Stones are too old for rock n roll, don’t listen to the band. Why does their existence bug you? Or are you just jealous, that after all these years they are still out there, and getting bigger as time goes by. Keith Richards is Mr Rock n Roll. He has led a very dramatic and interesting life. Millions of people around the world would like to know more about him as a human being and of course the history of The Rolling Stones. That is the reason this publishing house is paying top dollar for his story. Keith Richards is an international success story and a true grit survivor. Look at his face, its satanic ugly, but the character etched there is pure Rock n Roll and that is what makes him a beautiful human being. Come on people have some sympathy for the devil.
