Dead Man Talking

For a man who everybody thinks should be dead, Keith Richards is not doing so badly. Little Brown and Company is paying Rolling Stone Keith Richards, 7.3 million dollars for his memoirs. Apparently, there was a fierce bidding war for his remembrances. Every major publisher in the world was interested but Brown and Company finally clinched the deal. Writer James Fox, an old friend of Keith Richards, will write the memoirs. The question is, does Richards remember anything?

So now, Stones fans are waiting for the year 2010, when the memoir is set to be published. What will Keith Richards remember? What can he remember? How much will be fantasy? How much will be fact? How much fiction?

Lead Singer, Mick Jagger tried to write his memoirs years ago when he was offered a huge amount of money. However, Jagger got bored, said he could not remember much and eventually dropped the project.

Will Richards do the same? Will he live to tell? That, ladies and gentlemen, is the 7.3 million dollar question. Meanwhile “the human riff” is on yet another tour with The Stones. Yes, they are still rolling.

Till date, Richards has not confirmed or denied the 7.3 million dollar deal. But the Stone is up there with the heavies like Hillary Clinton who was paid $ 8 million by Publisher Simon & Schuster for her book, ‘Living History.’

If you have a title for the 7.3 million dollar book, we will E- mail it to the  Official Website of Keith Richards.
