The Trouble With Trouble
The late Leona Helmsley, the New York hotelier, better known as “The Queen of Mean,” left her dog ‘Trouble’ a white Maltese, $ 12 million when she died. With all that money under her collar, one would expect that the dog would be one happy bag of fleas. Wrong! Trouble has been receiving death threats from people she has snarled at, nipped and bitten. Trouble it seems, has inherited her late mistress’ nasty temper And so, recently, the dog was flown by private jet to an undisclosed location in Florida.
John Cody who manages the dog’s twelve million dollars recently said that Trouble’s security, medical care, chef-cooked meals and grooming costs about $ 300,000 a year. Say What!
One last thought, one wonders how much, Trouble pays her butler. Oh, and another one, I wonder how much John Cody gets paid for managing the dogs money.
When Trouble dies, she will be buried besides Leona Helmsley. One wonders how much her casket will cost! What a waste! What a shame! The money could have gone to so many great humanitarian organizations.
